The Workshop:

Learn the goof-proof secrets how Bob Burridge begins to paint everyday in his studio, starting with multiple, small “warm-up painting exercises.” Burridge’s positive approach towards the act of painting multiples will inspire you to loosen up, have fun again and paint more!

You will paint many loose, crazy-fun paintings! Bob gives you permission to goof around, painting multiple warmups using his 5Cs - Concept, Color Combinations, Composition, Continue the series and Commitment. Spend hours of splashing paint around, with structure, design and color. This workshop has become a must for artists who want the confidence and permission to paint the way they have always wanted to paint.

Students will take home pre-printed notes of useful and need-to-know information. All levels. Handouts provided.

Workshop Students will show their finished work in the Gallery of Hermosa, in a group show, alongside Bob Burridge. The 5th day of the workshop includes how to prep your work for a show, titling and pricing your work. Gallery of Hermosa Art Opening included!

About Robert Burridge

Robert Burridge, a noted award-winning Industrial Designer who, after twenty-five years in the corporate world, focused his life to painting everyday. Burridge attributes his success to his education from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, his stint as an adjunct professor at Cooper Union in New York City, and in 1966, his Fluxus art performances with Yoko Ono, Nam June Paik, Jim McWilliams and Charlotte Moorman. His work hangs in permanent collections of international embassies, corporate galleries and art colleges. His solo museum exhibitions received positive attention, so he was invited to exhibit his paintings at the Smithsonian Folklife Circus Arts Festival in Washington, DC.
